Liverpool Heart and Chest Trust (LHCH) is a specialist trust that offers specialist services in cardiothoracic surgery, cardiology and respiratory medicine including adult congenital heart disease, cystic fibrosis and diagnostic imaging both within the hospital and out in the community. We serve a catchment area of 2.8 million people across Merseyside, Cheshire, North Wales and the Isle of Man and can often go beyond these areas for those who require specialist services. LHCH operate 9 theatres (5 cardiac, 2 thoracic, 1 endoscopy and 1 Hybrid) and 5 catheter labs. The trust also holds 208 beds with these being 34 critical care and high dependency, 100 medical and 74 surgical beds.
The all age level 1 congenital heart service in the North West of England, North Wales and Isle of Man is provided by the Liverpool Partnership. This Partnership is made up of 4 hospitals based in Liverpool providing the following care:

| Liverpool Women's Hospital | For pregnant women with very complex ACHD, the North West team will decide on where a woman should deliver based on a multidisciplinary specialist assessment. |
The North West ACHD advice line 0151 254 3333 is also run from LHCH by our team of ACHD Specialist nurses who will be respond to any questions or concerns about the patient’s care and how it will be delivered. The team work closely with the consultants and other teams within the trust to answer any clinical or non-clinical queries.
The ACHD team are based at Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital. The team provide outreach clinics in the ACHD Level 2 centre at Manchester Royal Infirmary as well as the level 3 centres at Wrexham Maelor Hospital and Blackpool Victoria Hospital.
