London - Harley Street Clinic (Profile)

The Harley Street Clinic (HCA International Ltd) congenital cardiac programme started in the mid-1970s. The congenital cardiac unit of the hospital covers the whole spectrum of congenital cardiac malformations, including adult congenital cardiac patients (GUCH).

The majority of patients who are treated at The Harley Street Clinic are from overseas and occasionally the National Health Service. The hospital has also been actively involved in humanitarian activities through the charity Chain of Hope.

There are three cardiac theatres and three cardiac catheter laboratories for diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterisation. There is a 12-bedded paediatric cardiac intensive care unit, a 5-bedded paediatric progressive care unit, and 18-bedded paediatric patients’ ward which also has a playroom. There are also outpatient facilities.

Adult congenital cardiac patients are treated in the adult intensive care unit and on the adult cardiac ward.
